Founded in Pomarkku, west Finland in 1960 by Kirsti and Toivo Leppänen, Pomar is an iconic Finnish footwear brand with an authentic Nordic heritage. For 60 years we’ve built a reputation for stylish, high-performance footwear- producing durable classics – updated for a Nordic lifestyle.  

Family lies at the centre of the Pomar brand, since being founded over 60 years ago by Kirsti and Toivo, we are still family-owned. Today Kirsti and Toivo’s daughter Päivi Fonsén is guiding us as Chairwoman and Jarno Fonsén is CEO. All four of their children are on the Pomar Board of Directors.
