Pomar partners with
John Nurminen Foundation
to safeguard the Baltic Sea

This year, we will contribute to efforts to help safeguard the heritage of the Baltic Sea; and protect its future by supporting the John Nurminen Foundation. For every order of Pomar Zero Waste, we will donate 4€ towards saving the Baltic Sea. Our Zero Waste collection aims to reduce waste and use all the materials left over in our factory. We also want to encourage the use of surplus materials by other manufacturers and prevent any waste from ending up in the sea.

Our strong ties to the Baltic Sea also led us to support the John Nurminen Foundation's vital work, as many of the countries we serve have coastlines along the Baltic Sea, and our factory is located in the coastal town of Pärnu, Estonia. Given this close connection, we feel a deep responsibility to help protect this unique basin and its rich heritage. Working with the John Nurminen Foundation is a natural and personal choice for us, and we are committed to contributing to their efforts to save the Baltic Sea for future generations.

Founded in 1992, the mission of the John Nurminen Foundation is to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage to future generations. The Foundation has been awarded for its work as a conveyor of culture and producer of marine content. The goal of the Foundation’s environmental projects is to improve the condition of the Baltic Sea with concrete measures that reduce the load and environmental risks faced by the sea. Their work is guided by measurable results and impact.
